The world we live in today is all about theend result. We choose products for the desired outcome without considering theconsequencesof these products and furthermore their effect on our health or the environment. 🌿More often than not it takes more energy, water and resources to create the products than what it takes for us to use them.
In short, soap-based are made from natural oils whereas syndet based bars are basically solidified liquid shampoo. They each serve different purposes and we're going to give you the low down on how to find the best shampoo bar for you.
USE THE COOL BUTTON- that blue button on your hairdryer is there for a reason, it will help to set your hair at the end of a style. Using cold air helps to close the hair cuticle and relax your hair. So make sure you cool off.

But what do silicones have to do with natural haircare?
We're glad you asked. Having used a product with silicones prior to making the switch to natural haircare can adversely affect the time it takes to transition through to the benefits of natural haircare. The silicone will do its job by repelling moisture and locking you into that deep oily/greasy feeling. To put it simply, natural haircare is not strong enough to remove silicones from your hair and neither is anacid rinse.Natural products can not fight the power of silicone.
When making the switch to natural haircare you might experience a period of an oily, dense or waxy feeling. We, natural fellows, refer to it as the transition phase. It can be quite confronting and make your hair feel unwashed. It's completely normal and it is just a sign of product buildup on your scalp. By doing an acid rinse you will help to restore the pH balance on your scalp and remove prior product buildup, thus helping to transition quicker. It will leave your hair silky smooth and tangle free, it's even so good that you mightn't even require a conditioner. Acid rinses are also a must-do for those of us living with hard water (more alkaline) as they're able to balance the pH by dissolving the magnesium and calcium that binds to your hair from the water.
Ian so glad I found you guys on a blog post about the no-shampoo movement. Best shampoos and conditioners without sulfates or other crap. My hair is healthier and shinier than it has ever been ! A+++ is what I grade this.
Been using this bar for a couple of years. Love the way it cleanses gently & face feels so smooth after. Sometimes I even forget to moisturise!!. Thanks Em for this nourishing Face Bar. It really Rocks.
I found that this shampoo stripped my hair to not being able to move it on my scalp, so for me disappointing,
I gave it to my neighbour who has the same white hair, she loves it and her hair looks lovely after being washed
